What has changed?

We have launched our own independent wealth management firm, StrateFi. Though we have gone independent, our mission remains the same: to empower our clients to continue making financial strides with our guidance, reaching their goals, and ultimately achieving financial independence.

What motivated you to make the change?

Just like life constantly presents different paths to choose from, we knew that it was time to step into and build our own independent wealth management firm. Every client has specific needs, goals, and objectives and we strongly believe that with our new firm we are able to provide an even better pathway for our clients.

Why did you choose to affiliate with LPL Financial?

LPL Financial makes it easy for advisors to make this transition to independence as smooth as possible. Taking this route to open our own wealth management firm was a big decision. We took our time assessing what would best serve our clients and our team and it became clear that the right route to take was with LPL Financial.

Why didn’t you tell us about this change earlier?

We wanted to tell you as soon as we made the decision. However, legally, we were not allowed to provide advanced notice to any of our clients.

How did you choose your name?

We wanted to create a name that embodies the true essence of our firm and what we provide to our clients. StrateFi was originated by uniting words, ‘Strategy’ and ‘Financial Independence’.

What should I expect during this transition?

Though we are making this transition, you can expect a smooth experience. This is made possible with our affiliation with LPL Financial and their operational support.

Can I keep my accounts where they are?

Yes, you can. However, if you make this decision, we can no longer manage your portfolio. Opening our own firm means that we are no longer affiliated with Wells Fargo. Your accounts would be reassigned to a different advisor.

Where will my assets be held, and how safe will they be?

LPL Financial is our custodian for our clients’ assets. With more than $600 billion in client assets serviced and custodied, LPL provides an enormous catalog of services and resources, as well as a long history of financial stability. LPL is a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member firm subject to the federal securities laws and the rules of industry self-regulatory organizations, which requires LPL to protect client assets with the utmost care and adhere to financial protection rules keeping your money safe. LPL accounts have additional securities protection to cover the net equity of client accounts up to an overall aggregate firm limit of $600,000,000. This coverage is underwritten by Lloyds of London syndicates.

Has your investment process changed?

Our investment process has changed for the better as we now can offer even more pathways for our clients to achieve financial independence. We have access to enhanced research and technology capabilities, as well as various sophisticated and comprehensive portfolio tools that enable us to provide even more for our clients.

How is my personal information protected?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, LPL Financial uses security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards with secured files and buildings. LPL online environment uses security technologies, including layered security and access controls over personal information.
